Grant Kirkhope
Audio Director

I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland a long time ago. After leaving music college, I played in lots of different bands to varying degrees of success. I toured as the opening act for Van Halen, Bon Jovi, and Bryan Adams amongst others, and Eddie Van Halen actually gave me one of his guitars—which is of course, my prized possession! I eventually had to get a "proper" job and managed to convince Rare in the UK to hire me. I spent nearly 13 years there and was lucky enough to get to create audio on some great games including: GoldenEye, Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Tooie, Perfect Dark 64, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Viva Piñata, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, and finally, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. I moved to Big Huge Games in August of 2008 and have discovered that it's a great place to be, but nobody seems to be able to understand a word I say. You just can't win!
