We're looking for an experienced, talented, and enthusiastic Cinematics Director for our upcoming RPG. Applicants should be passionate about games and movies, and interested in working in a fun and energetic team environment.

Responsibilities:

Working with the Art Director, Animation Lead, and Designers on the creation of cinematics (This includes both story driven cinematics as well as certain elements of game play that require a cinematic presentation.)
Communicating with other leads and producers to identify risks in the production pipeline
Maintaining schedules for all cinematic staff
Working with the tools and technology team to ensure that the team has the tools necessary to implement the game's vision
Ability to visualize a scene using the provided script, storyboards and animatics, and then use Big Huge's tools to translate these into real-time sequences
Technical competency that is sufficient for some understanding of the game engine and the requirements for creating content
Overseeing all creative aspects of cinematic production, including the direction of the storyboarding process, workload estimates, blocking direction, and final cinematic presentation

Requirements:

Must have three or more years of game industry experience with one or more years as a lead in game development or related field
One shipped title as a Cinematic Lead
Strong understanding of cinematic principles (camera direction, editing, etc.)
Familiarity with game design and programming as well as the ability to communicate and coordinate with either
At least a general understanding of 3d Animation software packages like 3D Studio Max and mocap data
Strong time management and organization skills with a proven ability to prioritize, solve problems, and meet deadlines
Animation and storyboarding skills a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
